The Tibetan spiritual leader made the comment shortly after landing in Frankfurt, Germany. He called for autonomy for the Himalayan region, saying only genuine harmony between Tibetans and the Chinese government could be founded on the basis of trust. The Dalai Lama is in Germany for a five-day visit, with the highlight being a speech on Monday at Berlin's Brandenburg Gate to call for solidarity with Tibet. He is also to meet with German Development Minister Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul.
